“Cyber Security Strategies & Practices During COVID-19 Crisis”
The Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation – Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) will be having the OIC-CERT 12th Annual Conference 2020 (Virtual) on 23 – 24 November 2020. The theme for this year is ‘Cyber Security Strategies & Practices During COVID-19 Crisis’ and will be hosted by CyberSecurity Malaysia as the OIC-CERT Permanent Secretariat. This year the event will be conducted virtually.
The Annual Conference is a continuous initiative by the OIC-CERT to enhance cyber security and raising awareness through international cooperation among the members and other information security organizations. This event also offers possible partnerships and collaboration pertaining to cyber security in order to maintain resiliency in the cyber space. It also provides an information sharing platform on cyber security issues, enhancement of members’ effectiveness and efficiency through the improvement of the technical and administrative capabilities in incident handling, and a channel to discuss strategic directions and future challenges.

This session discusses on the current challenges from the management’s perspective and outlining strategies to keep the organization running without compromising resilience or security.

The way organizations work change rapidly. Threat landscape changed as the workforce went mobile. This session discusses on the need to balance privacy and security challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. One such issue to be looked into is when governments try to implement 'trace and track' applications to mitigate the spread of the pandemic.
